This College Hill Craftsman bungalow had
concrete steps that sank and pulled away from
the porch. The slab they were on had also sunk
and was a trip hazard where it met the driveway.
We removed the steps and slab, poured a new slab
and built a new brick retaining wall. We made
new steps out of wood to match the style of the
existing porch railings. The stair risers had to
have tricky angles to match the angle of the
tilted concrete slab. The new finished staircase
has a wider first step and very wide handrails
for extra safety. |
